As the leading trade fair for building renovation and energy efficiency, Klimahouse is an excellent platform for presenting products with high energy efficiency and durable materials. In particular, the topics of wood, energy, building for everyone and innovation are brought into focus. This is an opportunity we do not want to miss, which is why we will be travelling to Italy as an exhibitor – alongside around 400 other companies.

Building for the future
Our wood-aluminium systems combine all the topics that are in focus at the trade fair. The combination of wood and aluminium impresses thanks to the special properties of each material. Wood is a renewable raw material with positive characteristics in terms of energy efficiency and resource conservation. Compared with other building materials, wood has significantly lower thermal conductivity, helping to minimise heat losses. As a result, very good insulation values can be achieved, with a positive impact on the energy balance of buildings. Wood products can store CO₂ over the long term, as they bind the carbon that the original tree removed from the atmosphere – around one tonne of CO₂ per cubic metre of wood. In addition, the natural feel of wood gives interiors a harmonious sense of comfort. The robust lightweight metal aluminium provides optimum protection against even the most challenging weather conditions for decades and, thanks to surface treatment, offers the opportunity to meet individual aesthetic requirements. The material also has very good recycling properties and can be reused many times within existing recycling loops. Design criteria are also indispensable: the various combinations of wood and aluminium create a wide range of design options which, in a constantly changing market, are now gaining ground not only in residential construction but also in public buildings.
